Iranian art is one of the richest artistic heritages in the world comprising different fields such as architecture, paintings, weaving, pottery, calligraphy, metalworking, petrography, etc. This art had inseparable link with nature; especially with plants and animals in different eras; and it has been interwoven with poetry and literature so that its glory, beauty and expression have increased over time. In this study, based on available resources and collections in the museums of the world, Fish imagery depicted in ancient Iranian art has been studied and its importance is discussed from different perspectives. The use of plant and animal imagery, especially Fish, in the ancient works such as stone, clay, bronze and fabric (textile) has a long history of several thousand years and the Fish has been used as a symbol of religion, culture, social relationships and economy. On the other hand, Fish imagery presents the past Fish fauna, and along with the archaeological remains, provides information about the Fish biodiversity, which is usually consistent with the recent ichthyodiversity.

Fish tank or swimming granuloma caused by Mycobacterium marinum is an opportunist pathogen commonly found in aquatic environments. We present a 16 year-old boy with frequent exposure to aquarium water who had several nodules (sprotrichoid forms) on his right hand.Pervious studies showed that Fish tank granuloma is a rare skin infection (0.27 per 100,000 population in one year). However, taking proper history and considering the patient’s signs and symptoms could be helpful in diagnosis and treatment.

Sperm sexing is one of the important ways for sex preselection of offspring that with artificial insemination has the potential to considerably improve animal breeding and the efficiency of dairy and meat production. The base of this method is discrepancies between X- and Y-chromosome bearing sperms. X- and Y-bearing sperm cells can be separated by methods such as flow-cytometric measurement of sperm DNA content. In this research, to validate the accuracy of sperm sexing, we aimed to develop a simple method based on Fish technique to enable us to differentiate between X- and Y-bearing sperms. In order to do that, we attempted to make a homemade Fish probe specific for pericentromeric repetitive DNA block on the bovine Y-chromosome (locus DYZI, Yp13-q12). For this purpose, Genomic DNA was extracted from lymphocyte cells of bull. The specific DYZI primers were used for the amplification of Y pericentromeric region. The PCR products were then labeled with biotin-16-dUTP in a secondary PCR reaction. The labeled PCR product was then purified and dissolved in a hybridization buffer and used as a Fish probe. The Y specific Fish probe hybridized on the male metaphase and interphone cells fixed with methanol: acetic acid on slide show strong signals. Totally, production of the first Fish probe in Iran for detection bovine Y-chromosome was a big success and can be used for future studies about sexing. Also the made Fish probe at this study and primers can be applied to determine sex and ploidy status in bovine cells such as individual blastomeres or cell lines.

imagery is one of the basic subjects in the domain of aesthetics of text, which has been noticed by the men of literary taste and art from the past. The poets have regarded imagery as the integral part of their poetry and the critics have analyzed and investigated the literary works from this perspective. imagery criticism, especially in the temporary era, has been attended to by the men of literature. Furthermore, Ashurai poetry, as an enormous portion of the nationally committed literary heritage, has always represented Ashura. This literary art has always been after beautiful and obvious depicting in form and content of the events and causes of this enormous movement. Clarifying this part of the literary beauties in the contemporary Ashurai poetry is the aim of the present study using an analytic-descriptive methodology and based on the American school principles of the comparative literature. For this purpose, we investigated the poems composed by over 40 poets in the last century of the two nations. To this end, after extracting metaphorical images from the selected poems of the two cited languages, with equal number of these poems, the researchers applied tables and figures to provide the reader with a suitable statistical view of the issue. The results revealed the width and variety of the images in Persian poetry, the innovation and presentation of the new images in Persian more that English, the outstanding presence of the romantic and mystical elements in Persian Ashurai poetry, and the variety and vastness of the elements composing these images in Persian poetry.

Figurative language is one of the effective methods utilized by the infallible Imams in order to publicize the divine message and present a sharp and vivid image of religious facts. The author of the present paper tries to demonstrate some of these wonderful images in the Infallible Imams sayings.

The prominent and successful past experiences in poetry are treasures inherited by contemporary poets. Of these, the experience of creating poetic images without using literary imagery can add richness of thought and language, and be powerfully influential to the contemporary Persian poetry. To describe the characteristics of visual poetry, the Ghazals (sonnets) of Sa’di were analyzed. The findings showed that using image creation without imagery or, in other words, ‘the beautiful representation of the reality’ is one of the techniques employed in image creation. The tangible representation of concrete reality is the foundation of this kind of poetry which influences its artistic language, thought, emotions and techniques. Using the adjectival groups as noun descriptor, an adjective replacing a noun or an adverb plays a significant role in representing the reality. On the other hand, using frequent verbs and short sentences are signs of dynamicity and movement. The principles of love, beauty, emotional expression and thinking about human beings form the central concepts of such poetry. Narrative elements such as scene setting, tone of narration, dialogues and the arrangement of events, play significant roles in the representation of reality in a beautiful, tangible, objective and influential way.
